Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer comedy love-story Zero had a decent opening on Friday. Although the film failed to meet the expectations, the opening number is really good considering it is a non-holiday release.
As per the box office reports, the film earned 20.14 crore on its first Friday. The movie has received mixed reviews from both critics and moviegoers, so the collection might not witness a huge jump during the weekend. However, the higher ticket price will make sure that it goes past 65-70 crore in its first weekend. It is performing below average in small cities, so multiplexes need to compensate. Also, it has just one open week to do wonders at the box office as Ranveer Singh’s Simba will hit theaters next Friday.
