Salman Khan starrer Tubelight had an awful second weekend in both domestic and international markets. After posting a decent total in the first weekend, the collection of the movie began to wane during weekdays and it almost crashed in the second weekend. The drop in the collection in the second weekend compared to that in the first weekend is about 90%.
Despite performing poorly during weekdays, the film managed to gross more than 200 crores worldwide in 10 days. Thus, Tubelight became a new entrant in Salman’s list of movies that crossed 200 crores. The Kabir Khan directorial has collected Rs 116 crores (nett) in India and grossed Rs 167.04 crores here. Tubelight has collected 48 crores in the overseas market, which takes its worldwide gross to Rs 215.04 crores. From the collection in the second weekend, it is obvious that the movie will not be able to sustain its collection during weekdays and the collection might drop from crores to lakhs. Now, the question is – will the movie cross 120 crores nett at the domestic box office?
