If a film is based on a good story, it has a scant chance of failure at the box office. Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer love story Toilet: Ek Prem Katha proved it again. Although the film was riding on enormous pre-release buzz, it never seemed that it would set the box office on fire because the story of the film is based on rural India. Looking at the collection in first three days, it looks like moviegoers really liked the content of the film and it might turn another big grosser for Akshay Kumar.
As per the box office reports, the film witnessed about 25% jump in the collection on Sunday compared to Saturday. The daily collection of the film in its first weekend is as follows: Fri 13.10 cr, Sat 17.10 cr, and Sun 21.25 cr. Thus, the total domestic box office collection of the film after three days stands at 51.45 crores.

Monday and Tuesday are holidays in India, so it can add another 25-30 crores to its kitty in next two days. This film is definitely going to be another 100-crores film for Akshay Kumar, but will it be the highest grosser for Akshay Kumar? This question cannot be answered right now because a few Bollywood movies perform well during second week. If it could maintain the pace during second weekend, it has a huge potential to cross 137 crores (highest for Akshay Kumar).
