Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha topped the Chinese box office in its opening weekend, but it witnessed a continuous drop in the collection during weekdays. Although the film got a rave review from Chinese movie critics and moviegoers, the length of the film made it a bit boring for them. Because of getting a large number of screens, the film is now heading towards the century mark.
As per the box office reports, the film amassed $13.44 million [₹ 91.39 Crs] in its opening week. This week it will have competition from Hollywood biggie ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’, but it should be able to add another 9 crores to its kitty to reach the milestone of Rs. 100 crores. Also, this weekend in China is long because of the ‘Dragon Boat Festival’.
