Kangana Ranaut starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns witnessed unprecedented response at the domestic and international box offices and as a result of that the movie has reached very close to a new landmark ‘150 crores’. The business done by this family-drama flick in the fifth weekend is almost along the lines of collections of new releases like Hamari Adhuri Kahani and Dil Dhadakne Do.
As per the box office reports, the movie collected 2.05 crores in the 5th weekend to take its total domestic box office collection to 147.10 crores. The movie is still able to add more than 30-40 lacs to its kitty everyday in the fifth week, so it will not be astonishing if it crosses 150 crores by the end of 6th weekend. The next big release ‘Brothers’ is going to hit the theaters on 14th August, so Tanu Weds Manu Returns is in serious contention for 160 crores as the lifetime domestic business.
