Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, and Kajol starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior had a decent opening on Friday. It is a non-holiday release and has competition from Deepika Padukone’s Chhapak and Rajnikanth’s Darbaar. So, the opening collection got affected. The film is on a rampage in Maharashtra because of its story, which will help it to score ~60 crores in the very first weekend. Most of the critics gave given excellent ratings to the movie and the word of mouth publicity is very positive. The movie enjoyed massive growth during the weekend. Also, partial holidays on 14th and 15th January boosted its collection significantly.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is a biographical period action film starring Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, and Kajol in lead roles. Directed by Om Raut, the film is set in the 17th century and based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was the military leader of Shivaji, founder of the Maratha Empire. The film was theatrically released in India and overseas on 10 January 2020.
