The first-week collection of Sui Dhaaga has made sure that Varun Dhawan will have another hit in his list and his record of zero flop will remain intact. However, Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan starrer will definitely not reach the 100 crore mark in its lifetime. The film earned 62+ crore in first seven days and was expected to maintain its pace in the second week too. But new releases affected its collection very badly in the second weekend.
As per the box office reports, the film earned 9.20 crore in the second weekend to take its total domestic box office collection to 71.70 crore after 10 days. New release Andhahun has got thumbs up from both critics and moviegoers. So, there is no possibility for Sui Dhaaga to become the first choice during weekdays.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of the movie on twitter. “#SuiDhaaga saw a big decline on Day 8, but regained lost ground on Day 9 and Day 10… #AndhaDhun and #Venom have made a dent in its biz… [Week 2] Fri 1.75 cr, Sat 3.10 cr, Sun 4.35 cr. Total: ₹ 71.70 cr. India biz… 1100 screens in Week 2.“, he wrote.
A couple of new movies will hit screens this Friday which means a further reduction in the number of screens for Sui Dhaaga. All these negative factors have spoiled the party of Sui Dhaaga and Varun Dhawan will miss another century.
