Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer horror comedy film Stree witnessed approx. 60% jump in the collection on its second day at the box office. The film, which had surpassed all opening expectations on Friday, enjoyed impressive footfalls in both metros and small cities.
As per the box office reports, the film amassed 10.87 crores on Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 17.69 crores after 2 days. The excellent word of mouth publicity is definitely going to push the collection up on Sunday. The first-weekend collection should cross 30 crores mark and the movie is all set to become another sleeper hit of 2018.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted the film’s collection on Twitter. “#Stree catches speed and hits double digits on Day 2… The low costs and high theatrical returns makes it a BIG SUCCESS… Expect further growth on Day 3… Eyes ₹ 30 cr [+/-] weekend… Fri 6.82 cr, Sat 10.87 cr. The film is facing tough competition from several new and old releases at the ticket counters. However, it should score a half-century in its first week without any hurdle.
