Ranthambore Fort is in the Ranthambore National Park, near the town of Sawai Madhopur in Rajsthan. The park was one of hunting grounds of the Maharajahs of Jaipur until 1947. The fort is known for the glory and valor of Hammir dev of the Chauhan dynasty. In 2013, Ranthambore Fort, along with 5 other forts of Rajasthan, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the group Hill Forts of Rajasthan.
