Diljit Dosanjh starrer Soorma, a biopic on hockey player Sandeep Singh, is doing steady business on weekdays. The film did not have a good weekend, so weekday collection has become very important to recover the cost. The film enjoyed decent jumps on both Saturday and Sunday but showed a dip in its performance on its first weekday.
As per the box office reports, the film earned 1.84 crores on first Tuesday to take its total domestic box office collection to 17.69 crores after 5 days. The average daily collection is less than 5 crores which is not a good sign for the lifetime collection because it has just one week to do any magic at the ticket counters. While the film is all set to cross 20 crores mark in its first week, it would be interesting to see if the film’s performance slows down at the box office, especially after new releases scheduled for this weekend.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Tuesday box office collection of the film on Twitter. “#Soorma is ROCK-STEADY… Fri 3.20 cr, Sat 5.05 cr, Sun 5.60 cr, Mon 2 cr, Tue 1.84 cr. Total: ₹ 17.69 cr. India biz.“, he wrote.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 3.20 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 5.05 cr
Sunday (Day 3): ₹ 5.60 cr
Monday (Day 4): ₹ 2.00 cr
Tuesday (Day 5): ₹ 1.84 cr
Total: ₹ 17.69 cr
