Kangana Ranaut’s new film Simran could not live up to its hype at the box office. The film had a decent pre-release buzz, but it could not convert that into business. After sluggish opening on last Friday, it could not get enough push at the ticket counters to earn a good total. Although the collection remained flat during weekdays, the daily collection was less than 2 crores.
As per the box office reports, the movie collected 15.48 crore its opening week. The daily collection of the film in its first week is as follows: Fri 2.77 cr, Sat 3.76 cr, Sun 4.12 cr, Mon 1.41 cr, Tue 1.25 cr, Wed 1.16 cr, Thu 1.01 cr.

The film is going to lose a large percentage of screens due to new releases, so there is very little chance for it to earn even 3-4 crores in the second weekend. Looking at the current trend, it seems that the lifetime collection may be 21-22 crores.
