Shershaah is a Bollywood biographical war film directed by Vishnuvardhan and written by Sandeep Shrivastava. Karan Johar’s Dharma Production, along with Kaash Entertainment, has produced this film. The film tells the story of Param Vir Chakra awardee and Indian Army Captain Vikram Batra. It stars Sidharth Malhotra in a double role, as Captain Batra and his identical twin brother Vishal Batra, while Kiara Advani plays Vikram’s girlfriend, Dimple Cheema.
Initially scheduled to be released on 3 July 2020, the film got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film premiered on 12 August 2021 on Amazon Prime Video.
