Ranbir Kapoor’s latest film “Shamshera” had a below-average opening despite all pre-release hype. It was Ranbir Kapoor’s first film in four years and the big-budget masala entertainer from YRF production. Yet the film failed to attract moviegoers. It seems that big-budget Bollywood movies are missing something that the audience wants. There was some negativity around the film due to how the characters are portrayed in the movie. But such a low opening was never expected. Also, the movie has got bad reviews from critics and moviegoers. So, there is little chance that the collection will grow during the weekend; the film’s fate is sealed. Per our estimate, the film should collect 25-30 crores in its first weekend and 45-50 crores in its lifetime.

“Shamshera” is a Bollywood period action film directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in a dual role with Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist alongside Vaani Kapoor, Ronit Roy, Saurabh Shukla, and Ashutosh Rana. The story follows a dacoit tribe and their fight for independence against British rule.
