Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar remained dull in the second week as the film could not bring its target audiences to the theaters. The film was able to get a large number of screens because of an extended (over 45 minutes) appearance of Aamir Khan, but it did not live up to the hype to leave any mark at the box office.
As per the box office reports, the film collected about 15 crores in the second week to take its total domestic box office collection to 55.16 crores. The film had a good opening weekend because of holidays, but it started going south on weekdays. It seems that most of the moviegoers were interested in the fun movie during holidays. Therefore, Secret Superstar lost badly to the competition from Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again. The lifetime business of the film should be 60-62 crores depending on what happens during the third weekend. The trend of the film is very similar to Dear Zindagi but it might not reach the figures of that film.
