Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju has been on the record-breaking spree since its opening day. After scoring more than 100 crores in its first weekend, the film crossed 300 crores mark in only 15 days. Although the juggernaut of the movie stopped after 2 weeks because of several new releases, it managed a decent collection afterward to become the third biggest grosser in the history of Bollywood movies.
As per the box office reports, the film earned about 2.90 crores in the fifth weekend to take its total domestic box office collection to 340.18 crores after 31 days. The film now stands at the third spot after Bahubali 2 and Dangal in the list of highest grossing films. It has hit the 100 crores mark in Mumbai; other films that achieved this feat are Bahubali – The Conclusion, PK, and Dangal.
The collection dropped drastically in the fifth week because of new releases esp. Mission: Impossible – Fallout. So, now it seems it would be a difficult task for the movie to cross 345 crores mark in its lifetime. Its box office run might stop at 342-343 crores.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Week 1: ₹ 202.51 cr
Week 2: ₹ 92.67 cr
Week 3: ₹ 31.62 cr
Week 4: ₹ 10.48 cr
Friday (Day 29): ₹ 0.70 cr
Saturday (Day 30): ₹ 1.05 cr
Sunday (Day 31): ₹ 1.15 cr
Total: ₹ 340.18 cr ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER
342-343 should be the lifetime
It will touch 345 crores
