After crossing the Rs 200-crore mark within a week of its release, Ranbir Kapoor’s latest film Sanju is now galloping towards 350 crores. Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial venture is just unstoppable at the box office as it earned more than 60 crores in the second weekend.
As per the box office reports, the film amassed 28.25 crores on second Sunday to take its total domestic box office collection to 265.76 crores after 10 days. The business in the second weekend is stupendous which means it can easily cross 350 crores in its lifetime. If the current trend continues, it can even go beyond 400 crores. The film needs to cross 300 crores by the end of the second week to topple Aamir Khan’s Dangal from the second position in the list of highest grossing Hindi movies. With no major release in the next 2 weeks, the goal does not seem unachievable.
Sharing the latest box office figures of Sanju on Twitter, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Sanju continues its REMARKABLE RUN… A SUPER-STRONG Weekend 2 adds to the MASSIVE TOTAL… Crosses ₹ 250 cr… Speeding towards ₹ 300 cr… [Week 2] Fri 12.90 cr, Sat 22.02 cr, Sun 28.05 cr.
