Despite getting a good number of screens (~1000 screens), Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu starrer Saand Ki Aankh failed to make an impact at the box office. The film is competing with Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4, so such low collection is not very surprising.
The weekend collection was very poor, but the post-Diwali holiday on Monday helped to film to cross 5 crore mark. It should garner 10-12 crore in its lifetime. With 1000 screens, the movie should have earned more, but the wrong release date marred its box office prospect.
Saand Ki Aankh is a biographical drama film directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar.
