Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday announced that all adults over the age of 18 will be vaccinated free from 21 June. Congress-ruled states were busy doing vaccine politics and because of that, the pace of vaccination was slow in the country. So the center took over India’s vaccine rollout. The center also revised prices of Covid-19 vaccines for private hospitals, Covishield at Rs 780, Covaxin at Rs 1,410, and Rs 1145 per Sputnik V dose. Looking at the price of vaccines at private hospitals, Rahul Gandhi as usual asked a stupid question – “if vaccines are free for all, why should private hospitals charge for them?”
