John Abraham’s historical action drama film Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran failed to post a great opening on Friday. Although the film got thumbs-up from movie critics, it could not convert those words into business. But, the film has created extremely positive buzz among moviegoers, so the collection should grow during the weekend. As per the box office reports, the movie collected 4.82 crores on its opening day. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the movie is based on the series of underground nuclear tests carried out by India in 1988 at Indian Army’s test range.

The evening shows on Sunday might get affected due to the IPL final, but good content and positive word of mouth will help the movie to maintain the momentum during weekdays. Looking at the current trend at the ticket windows, it seems that the film is heading towards 18-20 crores in its first weekend.
