Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu starrer October enjoyed good growth at the domestic box office on day two of its release. The film had a slow start on Friday, so the upward trend was much needed for it to post a healthy collection in its first weekend. It has received good reviews from the critics and the moviegoers have also given thumbs up, so it should be able to maintain the momentum. The film is not a typical Indian masala movie, so such collection is not unexpected. Even the big stars have failed when they did offbeat movies. As per the box office reports, the film collected 7.47 crores on Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 12.51 crores after 2 days. The daily collection of the film in its first week is as follows: Fri 5.04 cr, Sat 7.47 cr.
#October shows a SUPER 48.21% GROWTH on Sat… Metros/plexes are clearly contributing heavily to the revenue… Should continue the upward trend on Sun… Fri 5.04 cr, Sat 7.47 cr. Total: ₹ 12.51 cr. India biz.

The growth on Saturday is approx. 48% and if it could show the similar growth on Sunday, the first-weekend collection will cross 20 crores. October is estimated to be made on a budget of 45 Crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost. It will be considered a hit if it crosses 55 Crores and will be considered an average if it crosses 45 Crores. As there is no big release for the next two weeks, October should be able to score a half-century in the domestic market.
