Despite getting good ratings from movie critics, Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor starrer romantic comedy film Mubarakan failed at the box office on day one. The film started with 15-20% occupancy in the morning shows. Although there was some growth in the evening shows, it was not big enough to help the film to post a decent total on its opening day.
As per the box office reports, the movie garnered about 5.25 crores on first Friday.
#Mubarakan had a slow start… Sat + Sun are crucial… Fri ₹ 5.25 cr. India biz.

The movie has an excellent word of mouth publicity, so a big jump in the collection during weekend can not be ruled out. Unlike Jagga Jasoos, whose budget was 100 crores, Mubakaran’s budget is about 45 crores. If it could manage to amass 25 crores in first weekend, it can become a successful venture for the makers. But adding another 20 crores to its kitty in next two days seems a mammoth task for the film, so nothing can be predicted today. We have to wait and watch.
