Rani Mukerji starrer Mardaani 2 had a decent opening on Friday. Although the film started with low occupancy in the morning, evening shows helped the film post a bigger total. Critics have appreciated it and its target audience has also given thumbs up, so it witnessed solid growth during the weekend.
The film earned 3.80 crores on its first Friday and may amass 15+ in its first weekend itself. The major problem for the film is its release date. Salman Khan’s Dabang 3 will release on the next Friday, which means Mardani 2 will run on a very limited number of screens. Therefore, if it can cross the lifetime collection of the first part, it would be a great success.
Mardaani 2 is a Bollywood action thriller film directed by Gopi Puthran and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. It is a sequel to the 2014 film Mardaani and features Rani Mukerji reprising her role of Superintendent of Police Shivani Roy. The film was theatrically released in India on 13 December 2019.
