Love Aaj Kal, the latest release of Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan, benefited from Valentine’s day on Friday and became the highest opening grosser for Karthik. The film witnessed good growth in the collection in the evening. Moviegoers have rated it very poor, so it may feel the heat during weekdays. It needs to have positive growth on Saturday and Sunday to post a decent total in its lifetime. Although Love Aaj Kal enjoyed a superb opening, it may not surpass the lifetime collection of some of Kartik’s recent releases. The current trend suggests that the opening weekend collection should be in the range of 32-36 crores.
