As expected, IPL matches affected the weekend collection of Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer Kesari very badly. The film was expected to cross 90 crore in its extended weekend, but it failed miserably to reach there.
As per the box office reports, the film earned merely 21.50 crore on Sunday to take its total domestic box office collection to 78.01
Not every director is Hirani and not every movie is Bahubali, so makers must avoid IPL time for big releases. The cost of Kesari is 100+ crore. Therefore, it will be interesting to see if it gets HIT tag.
