Despite being thrashed by critics, Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Kedarnath performed above expectations on its opening day at the domestic box office. The opening number is very similar to Badhaai Ho’s opening collection.
As per the box office reports, the film earned about 7.25 crore on first Friday. It is facing a tough competition from Akshay Kumar’s 2.0, but it is able to attract its target audience. Kedarnath should continue its upward journey during the weekend as word of mouth publicity is fair. If it could manage 15-20% growth over the weekend, the first-weekend collection may touch 25 crore mark.
