Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer musical adventure romantic comedy film Jagga Jasoos started with an average opening on day one. The film had huge expectation as Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor were coming together after a long hiatus, but it seems that moviegoers wanted to wait for the review before heading to cinema halls. The good news for the movie is that most of the critics have given thumbs up to the movie and positive review might help the film in long run.
As per the box office reports, the movie collected 8.57 crores on first Friday in the domestic market. The movie doesn’t have a huge screen count; it has been released in about 1800 screens.

The average occupancy on the opening day was less then 50% and because of that it could not post a double digit earning. The word of mouth publicity of the film is average to good, so it might show some growth in the collection during weekend. The first weekend domestic collection should be 32-35 crores.
