Hollywood movie Incredibles 2 opened to an average response on Friday but managed to post an excellent total in its first weekend because of good content. The Incredibles franchise is not a big brand in India, but it still managed to beat the competition from several Bollywood movies.
As per the box office reports, the film collected 17.85 crores nett ( 22.89 crores gross) in its first weekend in India. The film benefited because Salman’s Race 3 is not performing in multiplexes and it became the first choice for moviegoers in northern regions of India.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the collection of the film. “Hollywood films continue to score… #Incredibles2 finds acceptance… Shatters the myth that animation films find limited takers in India… Fri 3.85 cr, Sat 6.49 cr, Sun 7.51 cr. Total: 17.85 cr Nett BOC… Gross BOC: 22.89 cr… India biz.“, he wrote.
It will not have a big lifetime collection because Ranbir’s Sanju will hit screens on Friday. Looking at the current trend at the ticket counters, it seems that the lifetime collection should be 25-30 crores.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 3.85 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 6.49 cr
Sunday (Day 3): ₹ 7.51 cr
Total: ₹ 17.85 cr Nett BOC… Gross BOC: 22.89 cr.
Keep on writing, great job!
