Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra starrer “HIT: The First Case” had a below-average opening at the Indian box office. The film did not carry a good pre-release buzz, so such a low number was not unexpected. Also, it does not feature big names that can pull moviegoers to the theater. The movie now has an uphill task to perform better during the weekend to post a good total in its lifetime. Critics and audiences have liked the content of the movie. If word-of-mouth publicity can convert into business, it would benefit the film. Per our estimate, it should collect 6-7 crores in the first weekend and 10-12 crores in its lifetime.
