Sonakshi Sinha’s Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi failed to make moviegoers happy in theaters and as a result of that, the film had an average first week. The film did not have a good start, but it got good momentum over the weekend. However, it ran out of gas after Sunday and continued to decline during weekdays.
As per the box office reports, the film earned 18.11 crores in first seven days at the box office. It had tough competition from Gold and Satyameva Jayate in its first week. In the second week, it is going to meet two new competitors, so further box office journey is not going to be easy for it.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted the film’s latest business figures on Twitter on Friday. “#HappyPhirrBhagJayegi showed ample growth over the weekend [a norm these days], but witnessed noticeable decline on Wed and Thu… Weekend 2 is crucial… Fri 2.70 cr, Sat 4.03 cr, Sun 5.05 cr, Mon 2.05 cr, Tue 1.71 cr, Wed 1.42 cr, Thu 1.15 cr. Total: ₹ 18.11 cr. India biz.”, he wrote.
Unlike its prequel, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi did not receive flattering reviews from film critics, which is largely the reason why the film failed to bring in excellent numbers. If the current trend is anything to go by, the film will not be able to match the figures of the first part, which had earned a decent Rs 28.82 crore.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 2.70 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 4.03 cr
Sunday (Day 3): ₹ 5.05 cr
Monday (Day 4): ₹ 2.05 cr
Tuesday (Day 5): ₹ 1.71 cr
Wednesday (Day 6): ₹ 1.42 cr
Thursday (Day 7): ₹ 1.15 cr
Total: ₹ 18.11
