Third installment of Indra Kumar directed multi-starrer Great Grand Masti couldn’t pull the moviegoers to the theater because of its poor content and genre. The film opened to very low occupancy on Friday and didn’t witness any growth on Saturday. The second installment Grand Masti of the Masti series was a super-hit, so it was expected that the movie will have a good opening, but piracy just marred its prospect at the box office.
As per the box office reports, the movie garnered Fri 2.50 cr, Sat 2.50 cr. to take its total domestic box office collection to 5 crores. The movie also didn’t have a good opening in the overseas market, so it’s imminent that the producers will not be able to recover the cost. The first weekend collection might be about 8-9 crores and the lifetime collection might remain below 15 crores. Disaster.
