Will Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again be the first blockbuster of 2017? Will it cross 200 crores in its lifetime? These are some of the questions that will be answered by the collection in the third weekend. The movie has already become the highest grosser Bollywood film of the year by surpassing the collection of Judwa 2. Now it is a matter of a few days when it will join 200 crores club of Bollywood.
As per the box office reports, the film amassed more than 45 crores in the second week to take its total domestic box office collection to about 183 crores. The daily collection of the film in the second week is as follows: Fri 7.25 cr, Sat 10.61 cr, Sun 13.58 cr, Mon 4.33 cr, Tue 4.02 cr, Wed 3.78 cr, Thu 3.28 cr.

If it had a solo release, it would have crossed 200 crores in just 14 days. But the competition from Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar spoiled the party and therefore it needs more days to reach that milestone. Now, it has competition from two new releases, so the collection in the third weekend will be a good indicator of its future prospect. But 200 crores in the lifetime cannot be ruled out as the film still has a good number of screens.
