Gold First Week Box Office Collection : Movie Crosses 90 Crores on Day 9

Akshay Kumar’s latest release Gold has been underperforming at the box office since its opening day. The film has lost at least 20 crores in the first week due to its competitor ‘Satyameva Jayate‘. The trailer and promotion had generated an exceptional pre-release buzz, but it failed to convert that into business because it did not get a solo release.Gold First Week Box Office Collection : Movie Crosses 90 Crores on Day 9

As per the box office reports, the film did a steady business during the weekdays to surpass 90 crores in its first week. The collection improved on Wednesday because of Bakrid, otherwise, it would have remained below 90 crores. This week it will have 2 more competitors – Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi and Genius. John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate is also performing well, so it would be a great achievement for the film if it crosses 100 crores by the end of the second weekend. The film will lose at least 40 crores in its lifetime because of competition and the lifetime collection may remain below 115 crores.
