Gangubai Kathiawadi Box Office Collection: Day-wise Net Earnings in India

Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi enjoyed an excellent opening collection at the Indian box office. Good opening numbers were expected since it is a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. Also, theaters are now allowed to run at 100% capacity in almost all places in India, so big movies will bring the audience to theaters in large numbers. We should hope that COVID does not come back with a new variant to hamper theaters’ business.

The film has got good ratings from many critics, and moviegoers have also liked its content. So, it should remain steady during the weekend and post 35-40 crores in the first three days. However, this film is not a typical Bhansali film with family-oriented content. So, its viewership will be minimal, and it may not become a big hit. The lifetime collection can be predicted only after looking at its trend during weekdays. However, we estimate it should collect 80-100 crores in the worst-case scenario in its lifetime.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is a Bollywood biographical crime drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Jayantilal Gada and Bhansali. The film stars Alia Bhatt as the titular character and is based on the true story of Gangubai Harjivandas, popularly known as Gangubai Kothewali. Gangubai Kathiawadi premiered at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival on 16 February 2022 and was released in theatres on 25 February 2022.
