Despite holidays in some parts of India, Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji starrer Bunty Aur Babli 2 did not find many takers at the box office. From the trailer, it was pretty evident that the film had no chance to succeed at the ticket windows. However, the makers took a chance to release it in theaters instead of the OTT release. Many critics have also panned the movie; hence viewers might give it a miss. It needs miraculous growth on Saturday and Sunday to post a decent total in its first weekend. Looking at the pandemic situation in the country and competition from Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi, massive growth seems nearly impossible. The film is eyeing at 8-9 crores business in its first weekend and 15-16 crores in its lifetime.
Bunty Aur Babli 2 is a Bollywood comedy film produced by Aditya Chopra and directed/written by debutante Varun V. Sharma. It is a sequel to the 2005 film Bunty Aur Babli which featured Rani Mukherji and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles. The sequel stars Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and newcomer Sharvari Wagh in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Yashpal Sharma, Asrani, Gopal Datt, Prem Chopra, Lankesh Bhardwaj, and Neeraj Sood. The soundtrack is composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, and Julius Packiam gives the background score.
