As expected, the world cup match between India and Australia affected the business of Salman Khan’s Bharat on Sunday. The film did start well in the morning shows, but a close and exciting match marred its progress in the evening and night shows.
As per the box office reports, the film amassed 27.90 crore on Sunday to take its total domestic box office collection to 150.10 crore after 5 days. Because of world cup matches, it failed to cross 150 crore in the first weekend. The budget of the film is about 110 crore, so it has already entered the profit zone.
It may become the second biggest grosser of 2019 on Monday or Tuesday by displacing Akshay Kumar’s Kesri. The biggest grosser of this year is Uri and if Bharat loses momentum during weekdays, it may not surpass Uri.
The box office collection of Bharat is as follows:
Wednesday (Day 1): ₹ 42.30 cr
Thursday (Day 2): ₹ 31.00 cr
Friday (Day 3): ₹ 22.20 cr
Saturday (Day 4): ₹ 26.70 cr
Sunday (Day 5): ₹ 27.90 cr
Total: ₹ 150.10 cr
