Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon starrer romantic comedy film Bareilly Ki Barfi did not live up to its hype as the film could not bring moviegoers to the theaters. The trailer of the movie had garnered good appreciations from viewers, but those words did not convert into footfalls. Most of the critics have given good ratings to the film, so there is a possibility of growth in the collection during weekend.
As per the box office reports, the film collected 2.42 crores on first day at the domestic box office. The film features all well-known faces: Rajkumar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon and the word of mouth publicity is also very strong.

So, the collection should move up in the coming days. The film is facing a tough competition from TEPK and a Hollywood biggie, otherwise, it would have fared better at the ticket counters. If it could manage a decent jump in the collection during weekend, the first weekend collection may be in double digits.
