Ayushmann Khurrana starrer comedy-drama, Badhaai Ho, has become one of the few Bollywood movies that scored a double century at the box office. Despite facing competition from several new and old releases, the film is still earning more than 50 lakhs daily in its fifth week. It was expected that Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan will stop the box office juggernaut of Badhaai Ho, but the debacle of the former helped the latter.
As per the box office reports, Badhaai Ho has grossed Rs 158.25 crore in India, with an additional Rs 43.72 crore in overseas markets, for a total gross of Rs 201.97 crore. The film has continued Ayushmann’s winning streak at the box office, which began with his debut film, Vicky Donor.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figure of the film. He wrote, “It’s a DOUBLE CENTURY… #BadhaaiHo crosses ₹ 200 cr worldwide [GrossBOC]…#India NettBOC: ₹ 126.60 cr#India GrossBOC: ₹ 158.25 cr#Overseas GrossBOC: ₹ 43.72 cr [till 19 Nov 2018]#Worldwide GrossBOC: ₹ 201.97 cr“. In tweets announcing the milestone, Taran also noted that the film’s lifetime collections will exceed those of Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan, touted to be the most expensive Bollywood film ever made.
Jabardast.
135+ for sure.
