India’s most expensive Telugu epic film Bahubali brought tsunami into the theaters all across the country esp. southern India where the average occupancy in all shows was 95-100%. Due to unprecedented response in South India, SS Rajamouli’s critically acclaimed movie broke the box office record of the opening day collection previously held by SRK’s Happy New Year (44.97 crores).
As per the box office reports, the film amassed whopping 50 crores on Day one (including all versions), which is simply phenomenal. The Hindi version contributed about 5.15 crores to this mammoth total. As the movie has received mass appreciation, it’s expected to break several box office records in its journey and the weekend collection might touch 130-135 crores.
