SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, shattered all box office records of Indian cinema to become the highest grosser Indian movie and it achieved this extraordinary feat in just 6 days. The kind of opening it had on last Friday insinuated such mammoth collection in future and it was expected that film will become numero uno in terms of box office collection.
As per the box office reports, the Hindi version of the movie amassed approx. 24 crores on Wednesday to take its total collection to 221 crores (Hindi version) after 6 days. All-India collection of the movie on Wednesday is approx 56 crores. The film has now managed to collect 793 crores worldwide, thus beating Aamir Khan’s Dangal’s collections which stood at 744 crores and his all-time highest grosser, PK which stands with a lifetime collection of 792 crores worldwide. Baahubali 2’s next record is surely going to be highest first-week collections so far. As the film has one more open week and the collection didn’t drop during weekdays, the movie is expected to garner additional 90-100 crores nett in Hindi regions in next 4 days (in the end of second weekend). All-India collection in the next 4 days may touch even 200 crores because the theaters in AP and Telangana are still running houseful. The lifetime worldwide gross seems to be 1200-1500 crores.
