Marvel’s latest superhero film, Ant-Man and the Wasp, enjoyed a decent jump in the collection on Saturday. Despite facing competition from Bollywood blockbuster Sanju and new release Soorma, the movie has shown an upward trend at the Indian box office.
As per the box office reports, the film earned 7 crores on Saturday to take its total Indian box office collection to 12.50 crores after 2 days. The film should have no hurdle in maintaining its pace at the ticket counters on Sunday, which means the first-weekend collection will go beyond 20 crores mark.
Bollywood blockbuster, Sanju, is still the first choice for moviegoers, so it will be interesting to see its progression on weekdays. There is no big Bollywood release for a few weeks, so multiplexes will keep adding some moolah to its kitty.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Saturday collection of the movie on twitter. “#AntManAndTheWasp witnessed AMPLE GROWTH on Sat… Growth on Sat [vis-à-vis Fri]: 27.27%… Fri 5.50 cr, Sat 7 cr. Total: ₹ 12.50 cr Nett BOC… Gross BOC: ₹ 16.02 cr… India biz… All languages.”, he wrote.
The box office collection of the film is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 5.50 cr
