Ayushmann Khurrana’s latest film Anek had a poor opening at the Indian box office. The occupancy was very low in all regions; the worst thing is that the footfalls remained the same for the whole day. The film now needs a mammoth jump during the weekend to post a respectable total in its lifetime. From the trailer, it was apparent that the film would fail to bring the audience to the theater. It was relying on the shoulder of Ayushmann Khurrana for success. But the opening figure suggests that even Ayushmann Khurrana’s stardom could not bring good business on day one. As per our estimates, the film should collect 6-8 crores in its first weekend and 16-18 crores in its lifetime.
