Ayushmann Khurrana’s latest release Badhaai Ho has done an excellent business in first two days at the box office. Meanwhile, his two-week-old release Andhadun also reached another milestone at the end of the second week. Although Andhadun had a poor opening, the positive word of mouth helped the film score a half-century in fourteen days.
As per the box office reports, the film earned about 22.65 crore in the second week to take its total domestic box office collection to 50.30 crore. The success of Badhaai Ho will definitely mar the lifetime collection of Andhadhun, but the failure of Namaste England may become a boon for it.
The box office collection of AndhaDhun is as follows:
Week 1: ₹ 27.65 cr
Friday (Day 8): ₹ 3 cr
Saturday (Day 9): ₹ 5.50 cr
Sunday (Day 10): ₹ 5.75 cr
Monday (Day 11): ₹ 2.35 cr
Tuesday (Day 12): ₹ 2.25 cr
Wednesday (Day 13): ₹ 2.10 cr
Thursday (Day 14): ₹ 1.70 cr
Total: ₹ 50.3 cr HIT
Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma’s Sui Dhaaga has almost reached the end of its box office journey as the daily collection in the third week is less than 25 crore. As per the box office reports, the film earned merely 2.50 crore in the third week to take its total domestic box office collection to 78.30 crore after 21 days. As Ayushmann Khurrana’s Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho are currently ruling the box office, it is difficult to predict whether or not Sui Dhaaga will touch 80 crore in its lifetime.
The box office collection of Sui Dhaaga is as follows:
Week 1: 62.50 cr
Week 2: ₹ 13.30 cr
Week 3: ₹ 2.50 cr
Total: ₹ 78.30 cr HIT
