Riding on positive word of mouth, Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte starrer AndhaDhun gained momentum on its second day at the box office. The jump in the collection on Saturday is about 110% with respect to Friday. The film had a poor opening on Friday and without such growth, it would have failed to become a profitable venture.
As per the box office reports, the film earned 5.10 crore on first Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 7.50 crore after two days. The growth on Saturday shows that the film has the potential to touch 15 crore in its first weekend.
The box office collection of AndhaDhun is as follows:
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 2.40 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 5.10 cr
Total: ₹ 7.50 cr
The other release of the week, LoveYatri, remained dull on Saturday because of its poor content. As per the box office reports, the film earned 2.15 crore on Saturday to take its total domestic box office collection to 4.10 crore after two days. Although the film has fresh content and hit music, these factors did not work at the ticket counters. Looking at the current trend, it seems that the film will have a poor first weekend. The film is heading towards 6.5-7 crore in its first weekend.
The box office collection of LoveYatri is as follows
Friday (Day 1): ₹ 1.95 cr
Saturday (Day 2): ₹ 2.15 cr
Total: ₹ 4.10 cr
Both the films are facing tough competition from Sui Dhaaga and Venom, so steady collection during the weekdays is a must for a decent lifetime earning.
