After doing steady business in the first week, Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte’s Andhadun set an unprecedented trend in its second weekend. The collection on second Friday and Saturday was more than that on first Friday and Saturday respectively. The second-weekend collection was not even one crore less than the first-weekend collection.
As per the box office reports, the film amassed 14.25 crore in the second weekend to take its total domestic box office collection to 41.90 crore after ten days. Even the big films witness a 50-60% drop in the collection in the second weekend, but good content is helping Andhadun remain intact. None of the new releases of this week has received a positive response from moviegoers, which means another eventful week for Andhahun.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of the movie on twitter. “#AndhaDhun continues its VICTORY MARCH… Remains the first choice of moviegoers… [Week 2] Fri 3 cr, Sat 5.50 cr, Sun 5.75 cr. Total: ₹ 41.90 cr. India biz.“, he wrote.
The film is all set to score a half-century by the end of the second week as the weekday’s collection will remain in the range of 2-2.5 crore. The lifetime collection of the film might get affected in the third week because of Ayushmann Khurrana’s new release Badhai Ho. However, 60 crore should be an achievable target.
