Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, and Amy Jackson starrer 2.0 enjoyed the second biggest opening for an Indian movie at the domestic box office. Although the film was expected to challenge the megahit Bahubali 2, it fell short of the desired numbers by a huge margin. 
As per the box office reports, the film grossed about 80 crore in the domestic market and reached the second spot in the top 10 list. The opening collection of 2.0 is almost half of that of Bahubali 2, so it is now near impossible that 2.0 will replace BB2 from numero uno position. The collection got affected because of midweek release. As the word of mouth publicity is encouraging, the collection should grow during the weekend and it should find no hurdle in crossing 325 crore by the end of its first weekend.
